absenceoftechnic:

Hello, Tumblr. I know I often ask for you not to reblog my work lately. I’m going to say upfront—this is a post I would very much appreciate you to reblog, I will be forever grateful to you for it.

If you are a constant follower of my blog you have probably already noted…

I don’t follow the person who wrote this, but the person I am reblogging this from seems like an honest person who I firmly believe would understand the truth or lies of another. Because that person follows this blog and has genuine sympathy for her, I too must extend my support for her. The awful girl who has been stealing her things is the exact type of person who would pretend to live a life that’s full of hardship. It provides an excuse to dress, act, and look the way she does. I’ve mentored girls like this, and girls like the true author. There is always a difference. It is girls who want to fit into a certain demographic that will do things like this. They are sympathy seekers, and fixated on the attention of others because they feel like their life isn’t interesting enough, and they believe that they cant look the way they wish without some sort or reason that “made them that way.” It takes time, but these girls will grow into their own skin, and they will see that their real life is enough. You don’t need to suffer such trauma in order to be interesting. You don’t need to suffer such trauma in order to be noticed. You can learn a lot in life through your own true experiences, and the tales of others. You don’t need to steal their experiences and pretend to make them your own. You can be perfectly interesting and wise without stealing away the life and memories of another person.

Don’t support plagiarism in any form.
